I get to see, visit and photograph a lot of sports. At any level I am always amazed at the effort and dedication. There are two that always bring me back to another level of thought. One of those is professional MX. I will never forget what Mitch Payton said to a rider one day. It was first round of practice. One of the team riders was not doing the triple jump. He came into the pits. Mitch ask whats wrong with the bike. The rider said its all good... Mitch said "Son you get paid to win.. go back out and do the 90ft. triple!" That is a lot different than waiting until you feel comfortable. For me that was a reality check.

.

Oh well, the outdoor season is in full swing now. I hope you can catch some live racing this summer.
